If your furnace has no power, you can probably guess what’s causing the problem. There are a few things that could be the problem and I will tell you which ones to watch out for so that you don’t end up replacing an entire furnace if you can help it.
When your furnace first starts running, the blower may start up. If you turn it off when the blower is not running, then you can probably avoid the problem. The blower is the biggest part of your furnace, so make sure that you take good care of it. Most blowers need a regular clean to keep them in top condition. You should clean out the filter on a monthly basis and make sure that it is in the right place before you start using the furnace. If you are still having trouble with the furnace, then you can run an electrical wire through the furnace so that you can troubleshoot your furnace easier. You should also keep the furnace clean by vacuuming regularly and keeping any debris inside of the furnace so that it doesn’t get clogged up.
If you still have the problem, then you can go to the dealer and see if they have any tips that you can use. Usually if you are not using the furnace for quite some time, then you will need to replace the furnace altogether. If you want to keep your furnace, but it needs work, you can always bring it in and have the parts installed or have the repairmen come in and do it for you. Just remember that if you have any problems with your furnace, it may be time to replace it altogether.
